Everything is off the charts big time heavy duty on this table saw was truly made for a real contractor using it to make a living. This saw weighs in by itself at 180 pounds. It has a unique spring tensioned motor mount set up on a 3/4" solid steel shaft. The hand wheels are solid chrome plated cast iron (not hollow on the back side like others) and a work of art by themselfs. I love the heavy gage metal used to form the base with the art deco rounded corners. The rear trunion is suported by a masive one piece cast iron support that is also the base mount.realy unique and differnt from other Delta table saws I have rstored in the past.

This is one of the heaviest duty 10" Contractor type saws I have ever seen anywhere, massive over kill under table casting assemblies and the same 3/4" arbor bearing journals size (and bearings) as used on the Delta Unisaws. The original Delta motor was long gone and it had a newer Chinese made (Centeral Machinery) 1.5-HP 240 volt compressor duty motor that came with it that I have not checked out yet to see if it still works.Īlso included with this buy was a very nice unexpected big time surprise in a Walker-Turner geared indexing miter gage that I have already restored for use on my 1966 Craftsman cabinet saw. 1962.(Probably just cost Delta to much to manufacture.) From what I read this Model 34-425 was introduced in 1957 and was only around for a few years being discontined in around aprox. 50-320 stand and this was origianlly a Delta Saw-Jointer combination set up with a long bed 42" Delta Model 37-220 6" Jointer also (MIA). The saw came with the original Delta flare foot No. I picked this up off the local CL and it had been out in the weather for a while in a RV storage yard.
